Inchcolm Antiphoner, Scottish, 14th century - MS 211/IV fragments of an antiphoner, or service book with music, written in Scotland c. 1340 with later additions, and associated with the Priory of Inchcolm in the Firth of Forth, this is is one of the earliest surviving Scottish music manuscripts. It was bequeathed to the Library in 1878 by the antiquary David Laing, among a huge collection of manuscript and printed books |
